thesarahsaurusrex asked:You know, I started following this blog to broaden my knowledge of fashion history. I wasn't expecting all of this feminist commentary, BUT I LOVE IT. Feminism and pretty clothes, what more can I ask for?
A big part of me is still dictated by that chivalry bullshit, but I really just want to punch this woman in the face. Really fucking hard. This also goes against my pacifist beliefs, but Bachman just pisses me off in ways I never imagined.
What was that line from that one movie? “I don’t think it means what you think it means … ” ?
(Sorry, I’m not awake enough yet to think about that kind of stuff).
I’m a non-Katy Perry fan, and yet for some reason I feel bad for Katy Perry that one of the biggest wingnuts in the GOP POTUS race has appropriated her work.
First, that picture is hilarious!
Second, this is just one more conservative using a song without knowing what it is about. At least this time it is not another misuse of a Bruce Springsteen song. Remember Reagan using “Born in the USA” as his campaign song, you know that song about how America fucked over its Vietnam vets. Or how New Jersey wanted to make “Born to Run” their state song, you know the song about getting the fuck out of New Jersey.
Conservatives need to think before they do some of this stuff or at least get people with half a brain. I mean, this stuff is just stupid and then add in them wanting to tea bag the president and it makes you almost wish there was some snotty nose liberal brat in their camp telling them to do this stuff. My NPH, I hope that is the case…though it still does not mean much for conservative intelligence.
